Reflections and Observations on Silence by Mitch Santell
Each and every day I work on myself more than anything else. What do I mean by this? I mean I keep my damn mouth shut and sit in silence and reflect at the moment.
The reflection is how can a be a better human being, how can I share and show kindness to people who are so cold and Kloned off by their devices and their technology that they can’t really think for themselves anymore.
If you follow this blog if for some strange reason you simply came upon this site and wanted to know more, good for you!
Think for yourself, don’t allow anyone to tell you who you are or how to think. If you wish to live a life worrying about what other people think, then, by all means, go get a college education. The powers that be at most major Universities and Colleges will be happy to form your thinking and your thoughts for you.
Take a few moments to make yourself your favorite beverage including but not limited to a fresh coffee, a hot tea or a cold beer. Push the play button below (turn off your smartphone first) and see if you can slow down to hear what this man has to say to you.
To listen to him, you are going to have to be silent. Do you think you can?
May your journey be more comfortable than mine because I have to live in authentic truth all the time. Taking care of an Asperger’s Autistic daughter forces me daily to live in truth.
I pray you find your truth. God bless you and make it a wonderful day!
Commentary About Hollywood in Washington D.C. by Mitch Santell
It does not matter if you are liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, you know one thing is real, Nancy Pelosi is delusional, and I think may be drunk with power.
Here is a brief clip of what Nancy wants to do. Oh, man, this is going to get nasty.
Happy Sunday dear followers and readers, I wanted to let you know that this could make a great Hollywood movie.
Nancy has stated that she is the most powerful woman in America.
In the meantime, things are getting a bit stressed out here in Southern California.
In Washington D.C. it was a bit weird at the Lincoln Memorial.
Has President Trump suckered Democrats and the Deep State into a trap that will enable a radical downsizing of the federal bureaucracy? In only five more days of the already “longest government shutdown in history” (25 days and counting, as of today), a heretofore obscure threshold will be reached, enabling permanent layoffs of bureaucrats furloughed 30 days or more.
This seems to be what was referenced in thisremarkable essaywritten by an “unidentified senior Trump official” published in the Daily Caller, which vouches for the authenticity of the author and explains that it is protecting him from adverse career consequences should the name become known. I strongly recommend reading the whole thing.
Don’t believe me that federal bureaucrats can be laid off? Well, in bureaucratese, a layoff is called a RIF – a Reduction in Force – and of course, it comes with a slew of civil service protections. But, if the guidelines are followed, bureaucrats can be laid off – as in no more job. It is all explained by Michael Roberts here (updated after the beginning of the partial shutdown):
A reduction in force is a thoughtful and systematic elimination of positions. For all practical purposes, a government RIF is the same thing as a layoff. …
Organizations must stick to predetermined criteria when sorting out what happens to each employee. They must communicate with employees how and why decisions are made. …
In deciding who stays and who goes, federal agencies must take four factors into account:
2. Veteran status
3. Total federal civilian and military service
Agencies cannot use RIF procedures to fire bad employees.

1). Avoid Ass-Holes. There is an ass-hole born every minute in Hollywood, don’t you be one of them. (Be a class act and be the person people remember through your kindness).
2). Watch How The People Around You Treat Others. You will learn more by watching how someone treats the waiter or waitress during lunch. (If they abuse your server, then it is only a matter of time before they harm you).3). Avoid Envious and Jealous People Make a list of people who won’t support you in your project and never call them again. (Envy and Jealousy is the #1 reason why most projects fail, don’t get caught up in this).
4). Focus On Building Your Team. Surround yourself with the best team possible who understand what you are doing.
The ability to look back at your history puts you in a unique place called perspective. For anyone who is a baby boomer (my generation) or others afterward, it still is a fantastic shift how common Cannabis is in California. What you are about to read is really happening, I didn’t make this up!
Happy Wednesday to all my readers and followers.

The Los Angeles Times
In Napa and Sonoma, tour bus operators ferry wine lovers between tasting rooms and vineyards. In Hollywood and environs, they shepherd the starstruck past the homes of the rich and famous.
Now they’re giving customers a mind-expanding look at one of Los Angeles’ burgeoning industries: pot.
Since recreational use of marijuana became legal a year ago, a pot tourism business has emerged, taking visitors behind the scenes of California’s estimated $7 billion cannabis industry.
“Every other day it seems another tour company is popping up,” said Lauren Jones, who owns Weedology, a cannabis tour company based in Los Angeles. “It’s like a gold rush.”
Each pot tour company has its own points of interest, generally including a grow facility, a bong maker or accessory retailers and a marijuana dispensary, where visitors can get joint-rolling lessons. Expect product discounts, but not freebies. And some tours allow smoking on board, for those so inclined.
Tours are priced between $40 and $200 a person, depending on the length of the trip, the stops and other features.
Starting this month, L.A.-based Green Tours is adding an itinerary that includes a pot-smoking session with weed-loving ‘70s movie legend, Tommy Chong. That tour is priced at $149 a person, owner Gene Grozovskiy said.
Grozovskiy’s father thought his son was nuts when he announced plans to quit his full-time job as a patient placement coordinator at a large Los Angeles hospital to start a marijuana tour company.
“At first pops was like, ‘You want to do what kind of tours?”’ Grozovskiy, 35, recalled. “He thought I was just being silly.”
Other tour company owners also come with respectable pedigrees and want to hop on what they see as a profitable future in recreational cannabis.
Jones, who works as a resources specialist at Los Angeles Unified School District, launched Weedology tours in February as a part-time gig that she hopes can eventually grow to a full-time job.
Ed Legarda is a tech-industry consultant who started Green Line Trips in January. It primarily offers tours on the weekends but he also hopes it will expand to daily operation.
Cannabis tourism also has caught on in other places where weed is legal, such as Colorado and Nevada. It’s part of a myriad ancillary businesses that make up the marijuana industry, including compliance consultants, cannabis testing labs, ultraviolet lighting installers, security and transportation services.
The National Cannabis Industry Assn., a trade group based in Colorado, has nearly 2,000 business as members, with about 60 percent to 70 percent of those companies providing services that don’t involve selling marijuana, spokesman Morgan Fox said.
“We have seen an explosion of businesses related to cannabis,” he said.
Nationwide, the sale of cannabis directly or indirectly employed an estimated 170,000 full-time workers in 2017, according to a study by the Arcview Group, an Oakland-based firm for investors in the marijuana industry. That number is expected to grow to more than 467,000 full-time workers in 2022, the firm estimates.
In The What Do You Think Will Happen Department by Mitch Santell
Kevin Spacey appeared in court today in regards to a Sexual Assault charge.
The outcome of Kevin Spacey’s trial I believe will play a significant role in how Hollywood deals with the power of celebrities.
From my perspective as a documentary filmmaker, producer of radio and music, I sincerely hope that things go Kevin’s way. Mr. Spacey knows how “Dog Eat Dog ” Hollywood is. There is so much about Kevin Spacey’s situation that reminds me of what happened to Charlie Chaplin during the making of the film, “The Gold Rush.”
The mess that is ever increasing at the USA Mexico border is not very fun to watch but for so many of us we watched as Germany, France, and many other countries were flooded with thousands daily from the middle east.
As a person who has empathy and sympathy for other people, I can understand why people around the world want a better life.
The challenge is that here in America we are struggling too and while the unemployment rate is low we still have to do what we can to bring every dollar home.
It has often been said that “those who don’t remember their history are doomed to repeat it,” that is not actually accurate. The real line is: “Those who do not study their history are doomed to repeat it!”
The number of people who read my blog, I don’t worry about. What I do worry about is are there others around the world who are picking up my posts.
The answer is yes. This is a map of my blog from today.
There are ways that you can learn how another person thinks. Want to know how the woman you are dating thinks? Ask her about her relationship with her Father. Want to know how someone moves in the world, ask them their views on God.
What I have come to learn since meeting so many atheists here in Southern California is that a belief in the non-existence of God is just as much a religion as much as believing in God.
America is more divided now than ever. To all my dear old friends in New Zealand, I feel deep in my soul like I am on the front lines of the most significant transformational change in the country of my birth and to be anywhere but here, would be a huge mistake.
Here in Southern California, it is hard to tell if the Christians, the Atheists or the Zombies will end up taking over, but at the end of the day, it is a fascinating ride.
2019 is already amazing because we are making up our history as we go along. That is why I believe in God, and he gives us free will.
Special note: I found Jordan Peterson’s comments about God simply fascinating.
Here we are near the end of 2018 and I simply cannot believe how fast this year went. Over the past few days I have been in dialogue and open discussions with my team about 2019. As I always say, “A Dream Is A Goal With A Deadline.”
This morning I saw this post from one my favorite bloggers. What was the topic? How to make your blog the best it can be in 2019.
