Substack, A New WordPress?

Substack, a new blogging, podcasting, and social media platform launched several years ago and was originally funded with 650 Million Dollars of Venture Capital.

I’ve used three major platforms for my blogs as well as buying domains, e-commerce and helping media clients to “brand themselves.”

The first platform I used was Weebly which I discovered in New Zealand while I was producing “The Vinny Eastwood Show.”

My number one go to feature is always about “media,” as in “how easy is it to add media.”

Weebly for me was a simple “drag and drop” platform and even though I’m a radio producer, not a “programmer,” it sure was fun.

You can check Weebly out here:

**(Additional note: Weebly is now owned by Square Space so the platform in my view does not work like it did back in 2008. You’ll need to check it out)!

Here is Vinny’s site on Weebly:

The second platform I used was TypePad which is part of a platform known as Moveable You can look here if you code programming:  https://movabletype.org/ and here if you want a template based blog: https://www.typepad.com/ and here is my old blog which I posted at for over 3 years and is left online as a remnant of my past:

A dear long distance friend of mine RR, sent me this great posting from Substack on why you may want to look at another blog, posting, content platforms:

The technical merging of blogs, social media, and even online distribution has really exploded online. If you want to go beyond “blogging,” and need your content everywhere, check out Stream Yard! https://streamyard.com/

A couple more places to look to determine what platform will work best for you!
