Reflections On Trump’s Current Chess Game by Mitch Santell
Congratulations, you have just witnessed something in America that no other President would have the guts to do. What is it? President Donald J. Trump signed the current budget to keep the U.S. Government open while at the same time declaring a National Emergency. In my view? This is an absolutely brilliant strategy. This is the long game. It will still be a wild ride, but at least the amusement park is also known as America will still be around so that the circus can continue. (I love my country, I don’t take what is happening lightly but I do realize, we have to keep our sense of humor).
The White House confirmed Thursday that President Donald Trump will declare a national emergency in an attempt to bypass Congress and get more funding for his Mexico border wall project.
Trump will also sign off on a congressional bill that would authorize a much smaller amount of wall money than the president had been demanding.
“President Trump will sign the government funding bill, and as he has stated before, he will also take other executive action, including a national emergency, to ensure we stop the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border,” spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said.
Commentary On The Blow Back In Keeping America Sovereign by Mitch Santell
It has been fascinating to watch the blowback from President Donald J. Trump closing down the U.S. Government from his opponents.
Now, what do we do?
WASHINGTON – President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law today. The statute contains a sweeping worldwide indefinite detention provision. While President Obama issued a signing statement saying he had “serious reservations” about the provisions, the statement only applies to how his administration would use the authorities granted by the NDAA, and would not affect how the law is interpreted by subsequent administrations. The White House had threatened to veto an earlier version of the NDAA, but reversed course shortly before Congress voted on the final bill.
“President Obama’s action today is a blight on his legacy because he will forever be known as the president who signed indefinite detention without charge or trial into law,” said Anthony D. Romero, ACLU executive director. “The statute is particularly dangerous because it has no temporal or geographic limitations, and can be used by this and future presidents to militarily detain people captured far from any battlefield. The ACLU will fight worldwide detention authority wherever we can, be it in court, in Congress, or internationally.”
Under the Bush administration, similar claims of worldwide detention authority were used to hold even a U.S. citizen detained on U.S. soil in military custody, and many in Congress now assert that the NDAA should be used in the same way again. The ACLU believes that any military detention of American citizens or others within the United States is unconstitutional and illegal, including under the NDAA. In addition, the breadth of the NDAA’s detention authority violates international law because it is not limited to people captured in the context of an actual armed conflict as required by the laws of war.
“We are incredibly disappointed that President Obama signed this new law even though his administration had already claimed overly broad detention authority in court,” said Romero. “Any hope that the Obama administration would roll back the constitutional excesses of George Bush in the war on terror was extinguished today. Thankfully, we have three branches of government, and the final word belongs to the Supreme Court, which has yet to rule on the scope of detention authority. But Congress and the president also have a role to play in cleaning up the mess they have created because no American citizen or anyone else should live in fear of this or any future president misusing the NDAA’s detention authority.”
The bill also contains provisions making it difficult to transfer suspects out of military detention, which prompted FBI Director Robert Mueller to testify that it could jeopardize criminal investigations. It also restricts the transfers of cleared detainees from the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay to foreign countries for resettlement or repatriation, making it more difficult to close Guantanamo, as President Obama pledged to do in one of his first acts in office.
The key to the United Nations functioning as well as they do is simply one thing. What is the thing? Ignorance with a capital “I.”
Don’t believe me? Watch this now.
Libya Before and After Image Shows What a NATO/UN Humanitarian Mission Looks Like
All hail humanitarian war. Regime change can be a bitch. Start with sanctions because of ‘humanitarian’ reasons. If they don’t work, arm ragtag mercenaries and implement a ‘no-fly zone’ through an international body. If the rebels can’t hunt down the defunct leader, then just bomb the hell out the country until a bloody carcass vaguely resembling the leader turns up. Then claim that the humanitarian intervention was a wild success. PS: Make sure you destroy enough of the infrastructure to secure a huge IMF bondage loan for reconstruction.
The before and after picture of Libya below shows what the U.S./NATO means by a humanitarian war:
A top Democrat Congresswoman has announced her plan to convert all American businesses and individuals away from low-cost energy production (natural gas, etc.) to high-cost “green” energy sources. The new government spending will require a tax rate of 70%, which means you (or your employer) will be taking home 30% of what they work for. Let’s look at the consequences of this plan.
Reflections On A Nation Led Astray by Mitch Santell
This post is not easy to write, but I have to do it. Please don’t get too upset if you were you convinced to vote for Barrack Obama in 2008.
The phenomenal and charming Barrack Obama beautifully deceived America in 2008 to become the President for not one term but two.
You are listening to President Obama, who is a full on Globalist! ~ Mitch
During this time I was living in Auckland New Zealand and pulling my hair out watch as week after week Obama delivered the same message over and over again.
What was that message? That America’s greatest days were behind it and if we were lucky we would have 2% growth as a nation. Now looking at 2018, we both know that Mr. Obama was wrong!
AMERICA GETS A KING
Barack Obama, 44th president of the United States of America. He is so enthusiastically in favor of sacrificing babies on the altar of Planned Parenthood that when he was a state senator he voted 3 times against the “Born-Alive Infants Protection Act”. The bill recognized babies born after attempted abortions as persons and required doctors to give them care.’ Obama voted to withhold that care. 3 times. Under his recently-passed Obamacare bill, abortion is now taxpayer-funded. That means that all America shares in the killing of these babies, their blood is upon all of us.
Obama was raised a Muslim and, though he has said he has since become a “christian”, nothing he says or does is in line with a profession of faith in Christ. He rarely, if ever attends church.
He glorifies homosexuality and all manners of sexual perversion, and in the process has used his office of president to mandate the forced acceptance of homosexuality on our society.
Newsweek magazine called him the “first gay president”. He is the first American president to openly back and endorse gay marriage, and again use the office of president to make that desire a reality. He proclaimed the entire month of June to be Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Pride Month in America. In fact, he made it a national ordinance:
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE CONSTITUTION AND THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM JUNE 2012 AS LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER PRIDE MONTH. I CALL UPON THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES TO ELIMINATE PREJUDICE EVERYWHERE IT EXISTS, AND TO CELEBRATE THE GREAT DIVERSITY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.”NEWSWEEK QUOTE.
It made perfect sense to me as I watched and listened to President Donald J. Trump speak in front of the United Nations explaining for all to see and here that America is still America and our country comes first.
President Trump said:
For the diverse nations of the world, this is our hope. We want harmony and friendship, not conflict and strife. We are guided by outcomes, not ideology. We have a policy of principled realism, rooted in shared goals, interests, and values.
That realism forces us to confront a question facing every leader and nation in this room. It is a question we cannot escape or avoid. We will slide down the path of complacency, numb to the challenges, threats, and even wars that we face. Or do we have enough strength and pride to confront those dangers today, so that our citizens can enjoy peace and prosperity tomorrow?
If we desire to lift up our citizens, if we aspire to the approval of history, then we must fulfill our sovereign duties to the people we faithfully represent. We must protect our nations, their interests, and their futures. We must reject threats to sovereignty, from the Ukraine to the South China Sea. We must uphold respect for law, respect for borders, and respect for culture, and the peaceful engagement these allow. And just as the founders of this body intended, we must work together and confront together those who threaten us with chaos, turmoil, and terror.
The scourge of our planet today is a small group of rogue regimes that violate every principle on which the United Nations is based. They respect neither their own citizens nor the sovereign rights of their countries.
If the righteous many do not confront the wicked few, then evil will triumph. When decent people and nations become bystanders to history, the forces of destruction only gather power and strength.
