Smedley Darlington Butler (1881, 1940) was a Major General in the U.S. Marine Corps, an outspoken critic of U.S. military adventurism, and at the time of his death the most decorated Marine in U.S. history.
In his 1935 book War is a Racket, he described the workings of the military-industrial complex and, after retiring from service, became a popular speaker at meetings organized by veterans, pacifists and church groups in the 1930s.
In November 1934, Butler alleged the existence of a political conspiracy of Wall Street interests to overthrow President Roosevelt, a series of allegations that came to be known in the media as the Business Plot. Butler told the investigative committee that a group of businessmen, saying they were backed by a private army of 500,000 ex-soldiers, government officials and others, intended to establish a fascist dictatorship. Butler had been asked to lead it, he said, by Gerald P. MacGuire, a bond salesman with Grayson M–P Murphy & Co.
The New York Times reported that Butler had told friends that General Hugh S. Johnson, a former official with the National Recovery Administration, was to be installed as dictator. Butler said MacGuire had told him the attempted coup was backed by three million dollars, and that the 500,000 men were probably to be assembled in Washington, D.C. the following year.
All the parties alleged to be involved, including Johnson, said there was no truth in the story, calling it a joke and a fantasy. No prosecutions or further investigations followed, and historians have questioned whether or not a coup was actually close to execution, although most agree that some sort of “wild scheme” was contemplated and discussed. The news media initially dismissed the plot, with a New York Times editorial characterizing it as a “gigantic hoax”.

Commentary On The Blow Back In Keeping America Sovereign by Mitch Santell
It has been fascinating to watch the blowback from President Donald J. Trump closing down the U.S. Government from his opponents.
Now, what do we do?
WASHINGTON – President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law today. The statute contains a sweeping worldwide indefinite detention provision. While President Obama issued a signing statement saying he had “serious reservations” about the provisions, the statement only applies to how his administration would use the authorities granted by the NDAA, and would not affect how the law is interpreted by subsequent administrations. The White House had threatened to veto an earlier version of the NDAA, but reversed course shortly before Congress voted on the final bill.
“President Obama’s action today is a blight on his legacy because he will forever be known as the president who signed indefinite detention without charge or trial into law,” said Anthony D. Romero, ACLU executive director. “The statute is particularly dangerous because it has no temporal or geographic limitations, and can be used by this and future presidents to militarily detain people captured far from any battlefield. The ACLU will fight worldwide detention authority wherever we can, be it in court, in Congress, or internationally.”
Under the Bush administration, similar claims of worldwide detention authority were used to hold even a U.S. citizen detained on U.S. soil in military custody, and many in Congress now assert that the NDAA should be used in the same way again. The ACLU believes that any military detention of American citizens or others within the United States is unconstitutional and illegal, including under the NDAA. In addition, the breadth of the NDAA’s detention authority violates international law because it is not limited to people captured in the context of an actual armed conflict as required by the laws of war.
“We are incredibly disappointed that President Obama signed this new law even though his administration had already claimed overly broad detention authority in court,” said Romero. “Any hope that the Obama administration would roll back the constitutional excesses of George Bush in the war on terror was extinguished today. Thankfully, we have three branches of government, and the final word belongs to the Supreme Court, which has yet to rule on the scope of detention authority. But Congress and the president also have a role to play in cleaning up the mess they have created because no American citizen or anyone else should live in fear of this or any future president misusing the NDAA’s detention authority.”
The bill also contains provisions making it difficult to transfer suspects out of military detention, which prompted FBI Director Robert Mueller to testify that it could jeopardize criminal investigations. It also restricts the transfers of cleared detainees from the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay to foreign countries for resettlement or repatriation, making it more difficult to close Guantanamo, as President Obama pledged to do in one of his first acts in office.
The key to the United Nations functioning as well as they do is simply one thing. What is the thing? Ignorance with a capital “I.”

Libya Before and After Image Shows What a NATO/UN Humanitarian Mission Looks Like
All hail humanitarian war. Regime change can be a bitch. Start with sanctions because of ‘humanitarian’ reasons. If they don’t work, arm ragtag mercenaries and implement a ‘no-fly zone’ through an international body. If the rebels can’t hunt down the defunct leader, then just bomb the hell out the country until a bloody carcass vaguely resembling the leader turns up. Then claim that the humanitarian intervention was a wild success. PS: Make sure you destroy enough of the infrastructure to secure a huge IMF bondage loan for reconstruction.
The before and after picture of Libya below shows what the U.S./NATO means by a humanitarian war:
A top Democrat Congresswoman has announced her plan to convert all American businesses and individuals away from low-cost energy production (natural gas, etc.) to high-cost “green” energy sources. The new government spending will require a tax rate of 70%, which means you (or your employer) will be taking home 30% of what they work for. Let’s look at the consequences of this plan.
Here’s more of what I think about “nation building”…
I have written several topics about “nation building” and black people’s obsession with group economics (link 1, link 2, link 3, link 4 & link 5). And to keep it real simple, in order for you to build, create and sustain any society – regardless of gender, race or geographical location – you would have to enslave certain groups of people. Particularly those whom you either don’t like or think are incapable of making “right” choices, even if those choices are just to ego-stroke those who have an inferiority complex. I know I’m repeating myself, but some people are slow. Others just don’t talk about this harsh reality of “nation building”.
Here’s the thing about people reducing themselves to John Henry folktales and community servicemen trying to fix society’s problems, under the assumption that it would…
Commentary That You Can’t Make Up by Mitch Santell
This introduction by author Dan Bogino will blow your mind and it will openly disclose how Obama and his entire administration used the Deep State to take out President Donald J. Trump, but failed miserably.
Hey, for you filmmakers out there, you can’t make this stuff up. Why? Answer: Life imitates art. This was plan A, the main plan but it failed. The audio is below.
This audio is 8 Minutes and 28 Seconds and worth your time to listen too!
DAN BONGINO: Some of you may have seen me on Fox this morning, and in fact one of the ladies I was just talking to said well, where did you do that from? I said, I just live about 20 miles north, I have a studio in my house. It’s just a TV in the background. It’s a TV, it’s actually a video of what we took down in Palm Beach, we’re just watching a movie in the background. It’s in my office. If you listen real close on Fox sometimes for hits you’ll hear some like gargling in the background, that’s usually my 6 year old running around outside. No, I’m serious. Yeah, that’s my office and it’s a really small office. I don’t live like liberals in a 5,000 square foot mansion. So once in a blue moon you can hear my kids running around. So that happened. I made it down here. Sorry I didn’t tell everybody I was here. When we went to the front desk I got caught up in a conversation with Sebastian Gorka and Louie Gohmert and we’re all Chatty Cathies so that just went on forever, I forgot to tell everyone that I actually showed up. So I am here, we made it, it’s great. Thanks to everyone who’ve already bought the book in advance, I really appreciate it.
That’s what I want to talk about today, folks, because it’s been about a year and a half now of my life. I’ve written four books but this one by far was the most tedious to put together. They had two co-authors actually help me out. And the reason I wrote the book, this whole spine scandal, this debacle, this atrocious disgrace of a scandal that happened to our president. You know how many, are there a lot of cops, federal agents in the room? Anyone have experience in law enforcement? Yeah, a couple raised their hand. If I’m wrong, call me out on this, but when I was a cop and then a Secret Service agent if you have even an ounce of empathy for human beings, which most of you in this room have more than an ounce, you have a whole lot, you’ll arrest a lot of bad people for a lot of really bad things.
But one of the things that impacted me so deeply in my life, I’m not going to say the guy’s name for obvious reasons, let’s call him john Doe. We hit a door at about 6:00 on the morning to arrest this guy on a credit card fraud scheme, and it was ugly. I mean it had been hundreds of thousands of dollars. When you’re a federal agent you don’t get to arrest people for like $5.00 petty crimes or anything like that, they’ll throw you right out of there. It was a serious crime. We arrested the guy and I remember after working on this case for 6 months it was a sense of accomplishment, tempered immediately by this awful feeling in my gut. It’s 7:00 in the morning, you arrest him and you don’t anticipate the human side of it. But what happened, the guy’s young kids ran out. That’s their dad. He actually wasn’t the worst guy in the world, he was actually a good father to his kids. And they’re watching their father in handcuffs, and the wife is crying. Their life is over.
Reflections On A Nation Led Astray by Mitch Santell
This post is not easy to write, but I have to do it. Please don’t get too upset if you were you convinced to vote for Barrack Obama in 2008.
The phenomenal and charming Barrack Obama beautifully deceived America in 2008 to become the President for not one term but two.
You are listening to President Obama, who is a full on Globalist! ~ Mitch
During this time I was living in Auckland New Zealand and pulling my hair out watch as week after week Obama delivered the same message over and over again.
What was that message? That America’s greatest days were behind it and if we were lucky we would have 2% growth as a nation. Now looking at 2018, we both know that Mr. Obama was wrong!
AMERICA GETS A KING
Barack Obama, 44th president of the United States of America. He is so enthusiastically in favor of sacrificing babies on the altar of Planned Parenthood that when he was a state senator he voted 3 times against the “Born-Alive Infants Protection Act”. The bill recognized babies born after attempted abortions as persons and required doctors to give them care.’ Obama voted to withhold that care. 3 times. Under his recently-passed Obamacare bill, abortion is now taxpayer-funded. That means that all America shares in the killing of these babies, their blood is upon all of us.
Obama was raised a Muslim and, though he has said he has since become a “christian”, nothing he says or does is in line with a profession of faith in Christ. He rarely, if ever attends church.
He glorifies homosexuality and all manners of sexual perversion, and in the process has used his office of president to mandate the forced acceptance of homosexuality on our society.
Newsweek magazine called him the “first gay president”. He is the first American president to openly back and endorse gay marriage, and again use the office of president to make that desire a reality. He proclaimed the entire month of June to be Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Pride Month in America. In fact, he made it a national ordinance:
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE CONSTITUTION AND THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM JUNE 2012 AS LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER PRIDE MONTH. I CALL UPON THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES TO ELIMINATE PREJUDICE EVERYWHERE IT EXISTS, AND TO CELEBRATE THE GREAT DIVERSITY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.”NEWSWEEK QUOTE.
It made perfect sense to me as I watched and listened to President Donald J. Trump speak in front of the United Nations explaining for all to see and here that America is still America and our country comes first.
President Trump said:
For the diverse nations of the world, this is our hope. We want harmony and friendship, not conflict and strife. We are guided by outcomes, not ideology. We have a policy of principled realism, rooted in shared goals, interests, and values.
That realism forces us to confront a question facing every leader and nation in this room. It is a question we cannot escape or avoid. We will slide down the path of complacency, numb to the challenges, threats, and even wars that we face. Or do we have enough strength and pride to confront those dangers today, so that our citizens can enjoy peace and prosperity tomorrow?
If we desire to lift up our citizens, if we aspire to the approval of history, then we must fulfill our sovereign duties to the people we faithfully represent. We must protect our nations, their interests, and their futures. We must reject threats to sovereignty, from the Ukraine to the South China Sea. We must uphold respect for law, respect for borders, and respect for culture, and the peaceful engagement these allow. And just as the founders of this body intended, we must work together and confront together those who threaten us with chaos, turmoil, and terror.
The scourge of our planet today is a small group of rogue regimes that violate every principle on which the United Nations is based. They respect neither their own citizens nor the sovereign rights of their countries.
If the righteous many do not confront the wicked few, then evil will triumph. When decent people and nations become bystanders to history, the forces of destruction only gather power and strength.
Another Wild Shoot Out Between the Left and the Right, two sides of the same equation by Mitch Santell
This election is between the Pollsters and the Propaganda Makers. Right now most political polls show the Democrats winning the house in the 2018 mid-terms. At the same time that this is happening, we have 1000’s of illegal immigrants are heading forward the San Diego/Tijuana border.
Once again most people assume that there will be a blue wave of Democrats that are elected 2018 mid-term elections but the opposite is true. Why do I write this? When Donald J. Trump was elected less than two years ago, all the polls said Hillary Clinton had it “in the bag.”
Get out the popcorn and root beer, because it’s going to get even wilder.
