Hub.Life, A New Social Media Platform

Hub Life
Hub.life, a healthy alternative to facebook.

Comments that matter by Mitch Santell

After being off of FaceBook for months and months, I am now trying a new social media platform Hub.Life

Hub LIfe Statistics
Hub.Life Has Solid Numbers since there are over 1.2 Billion Websites Online.

Why Hub.Life?

  Mission Statement

You have a voice! You should be heard! Social media titans like Facebook and Twitter have a stranglehold on their users. They got people hooked on the massive platforms and then began to decide what content they were allowed to see, share, or post. Bottom line, if you don’t agree with their narrative, they will block, restrict, jail, and shadow-ban you. It’s time to fight back!

Hubbook’s mission is to provide an alternative social media platform, free from the barriers that are present in today’s massive networks. Unlike the tech-titan controlled networks who decide what people are allowed to see, Hubbook users are in control of their own experience.

People are encouraged to use Hubbook to make new friends in addition to connecting with current friends, family, and associates. Hubbook also allows page building to promote businesses, organizations, and ideas. Group creation allows communities to be built whereby people can meet, coordinate efforts, exchange ideas, or simply engage in a common fellowship. Direct messaging ensures personal private conversation between users.

While Hubbook maintains a code of decency, its creators do not violate personal privacy nor do they block real users from sharing information solely because they were reported by someone who was “offended”.

Aside from treating people with dignity and respect, Hubbook simply does not have a narrative to promote. So, come join the conversation and stay connected.

After The Chaos Of A Crisis Part 2

Happier Reflections Over The Holiday Season by Mitch Santell

Now I’m Smiling!

Back in May of this year I wrote about a 5150 crisis that I went through with my youngest daughter. If you did not have a chance to read the original post, here is the link:

https://afterhollywood.online/2018/09/26/after-the-chaos-of-a-crisis/

This Thanksgiving we have so much to be thankful, grateful and blessed when it comes to my daughter. Now that she is out of danger I am comfortable in sharing with you what happened since here healing.

One, my daughter never has to be on anti-depressants again.

Two, my Mrs. and me get to take care of her and she does not have to live in a group home.

Three, even though we had a 5150, the court investigator visited our home, gave us a clean bill of health  and we didn’t lose her. The court investigator was sincerely impressed with how well my

After the court visited us we had our annual visit from my Daughter’s social worker. Currently, the lady who represents my daughter to the court has 400 cases and she openly explained that most of her clients have no family at all.

The social worker shared with us that in her opinion her cases where there is no medication taken, do substantially better and function better.

China Vs. USA Trade War

USA vs. China

Earlier today, Trump’s chief economic advisor Larry Kudlow poured cold water on expectations for an imminent resolution of the US-China trade war when he said that negotiations in the run up to this week’s G-20 talks “haven’t yielded any progress”, and unless something changes, the “administration will move ahead with the next phase of tariffs.”

“Things have been moving very slowly between the two countries,” Kudlow said, adding that it was up to Xi to come up with new ideas to break the deadlock. And, echoing a report from the US Trade Representative published earlier this month, Kudlow said there hasn’t been much of a change in China’s approach. “We can’t find much change in their approach,” Kudlow told reporters. “President Xi may have a lot more to say in the bilateral [with Mr Trump], I hope he does by the way, I think we all hope he does…but at the moment, we don‘t see it.”

Just a few hours later, a report by Reuters confirmed that Kudlow won’t be “seeing it” for a long time, because according to China’s ambassador to the US, Cui Tiankai, China is going to this week’s G-20 summit hoping for a deal to ease a damaging trade war with the United States, even as he warned of “dire consequences” if U.S. hardliners – read the trade hawks led by Peter Navarro – try to separate the world’s two largest economies.

Living In Faith ~ Invisible Energy

Something To Think About By Mitch Santell

I found this on the internet and wanted to share it with you my kind readers and followers:

Invisible Energy

“Just because you cant see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

There is invisible energy you cant see such as the wind.

You can only see the effect of the wind, but you cant see the wind.

The wind is a invisible energy.

There’s a invisible energy that you use when you use a remote control to control your tv. Or think about how your phone works, how is it that you can talk to someone thousands off miles away, because there is invisible energy that you could only see the effects of this invisible force and so it is with consciousness a invisible energy that exists.”

Ten Steps on How to Make a Slave in Generation-Y

For the past 2 years I have followed this blog. The writing is honest, authentic and very straight forward and I would strongly urge you to read what this very dynamic young man in his 30’s has to say about what is happening in America. ~ Mitch 🙂

Home Is Where the Hate Is: The Triangle

Without sounding like a broken record, or like someone who either had OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) or who has mentioned this before: As decades and generations pass, younger members tend to break the past rules and regimen that held society together, but no longer works for the individuals or collective members of said society. For those who yearn for acceptance and being seen as infallible, they have an unhealthy obsession with being seen as “right”. Well, being “right” is usually rooted in past knowledge, rules and regimen that has worked before. Surprisingly, we still hear pseudo intellectual conversations and fake “solutions” to maintain our traditional stupidity.

For the cynical of us, it seems as if humanity is just a power struggle for people to fulfill their sick, insatiable desires to either control, manipulate, degrade or abuse others. Or to use vulnerable people as trophies, status symbols or bargaining chips. Ever wonder…

The Shifting Times In America

Reflections and Comments On Unsteady Times by Mitch Santell

Still need a job
Industry After Industry Is Being Disrupted.

Good evening followers and readers. Thank you so much for following my blog or at least checking in with me from time to time to get a sense of my observations. In 2007 I could not live in fear any more and I moved in New Zealand. The challenges I experienced there have now hit America and I wonder what kind of world and what kind of America my Grandchildren will live in once I am dead, buried and gone.

There seems to be a sincere lake of community. From what I observe on a daily basis I see more and more people who are either struggling, gave up or don’t know where to turn.

There has never been a time outside of The Civil War and The American Revolution that I have observed the United States at such a divided fork in the road.

Here are some thoughts that one writer put into an opinion piece. I related a lot to what was written. First, I am an American and Second, I feel sense and observe the constant chatter of so many that are extreme on both sides of the political spectrum.

Check this out and see if you are like mined with this:

What should we do during the next two years of divided government? We could spend them as we’ve spent the last two: React to every Trump outrage. Keep Trump’s narcissistic provocations at center stage. Express daily contempt from within the safety of our political silos.

This seems to be the business model for cable news and online media. There’s a big, reliable audience of people who will tune in to feel appalled by and superior to President Donald Trump, and who are addicted to their daily rituals of moral onanism.

On the other hand, we could put the Trump soap opera off to the side and pay attention to actual Americans and actual solutions. We could acknowledge that we are an evenly divided country. We could build the bipartisan governing coalitions and agendas suited to that reality.

Fortunately, many people are opting for plan B. For example, the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution gathers stakeholders across the political spectrum and gets them working together on common visions — union bosses with Walmart executives, teacher union leaders with charter school heads.

Washington think tanks are undergoing a fundamental evolution. A lot of them, like the American Enterprise Institute and the Brookings Institution, were built to advise parties that no longer exist. They were built for a style of public debate — based on social science evidence and congressional hearings that are more than just show trials — that no longer exists. Many people at these places have discovered that they have more in common with one another than they do with the extremists on their own sides.

So suddenly there is a flurry of working together across ideological lines. Next week, for example, the group Opportunity America, with Brookings and AEI, will release a bipartisan agenda called “Work, Skills, Community: Restoring Opportunity for the Working Class.”

Written by a wide array of scholars, the report starts with the truth that the working class has been mostly ignored by the rest of society. Government has welfare programs to serve the poor and they have programs like 529 savings accounts to subsidize the rich. But there’s very little for families making, say, $50,000 a year.

Businesses like Amazon will invest in rich places like New York and Northern Virginia, but they won’t invest much in working-class communities in Ohio or Kentucky. Universities, religious organizations and activist groups will recruit from the affluent suburbs and serve those in dire poverty, but they barely touch the working class.

What you get is a layer of society that has been denuded of institutions and social bonds. Working-class men have been dropping out of the labor force at alarming rates. A generation ago, working-class families were about as likely to be part of religious communities as affluent Americans, but now their participation rates have plummeted. A generation ago, working-class families were nearly as likely to be married as affluent people, but now only half the children in working-class families will be raised in adolescence by stably married parents. From the 1970s to the 2000s, the share of working-class people aged 25 to 60 who were involved in a neighborhood organization fell from 71 percent to 52 percent.
